Grenoble Slices

I thought it could be fun to go to the city center and take some photos of the city throughout the day (ok, it was really just in the evening) and try to put them together in an unusual way. The photo above is overlooking the Isère river and Pont Saint Laurent.

The photo below was taken from the Pont Saint Laurent (the one that shakes when people walk on it) and I also spent some time in the Jardin de Ville to get the next image. This was actually a pretty exhausting project because I was walking back and forth between four locations (the fourth didn’t work out as well, so I didn’t include it) to take a photo every half hour. I got a few weird looks from people that noticed the girl in the bright orange pants setting up her tripod again in the same location, but hey, that’s what I do for fun projects!

Tu as du bien t’amuser en effet :)
En tout cas tu as eu une belle idée, c’est très originale et je trouve le résultat plutôt sympa surtout sur les deux dernières.

I love this, Lisa! So creative and what a beautiful, unique final product! My husband and I have talked about doing something similar at some nearby locations, but he usually does more of a time lapse thing, not putting them all together into one image. Lovely!
(I’ve gotten weird looks with my camera too, especially when photographing puddle reflections at awkward angles :)

You guys should definitely try it! It’s a lot of fun. Hopefully I’ll see your photos on your blog soon!

Omg, yes! Puddle reflection photos are the most awkward. I’ve been trying to do some flower/sky photos where you have to get underneath the flower and shoot up. Also get some weird looks from that. Hehe.

Thanks! Didn’t realize it at the time, but these are the last photos of Grenoble before my move.
